Welcome to Viva Scoop, your monthly overview of everything Vivacity Technologies.
The month of February marks the beginning of the end for the Canadian winter, which for some can be bittersweet. On one hand, the increasingly longer days and shorter nights are a welcomed reminder of warmer times just around the corner. On the other hand, we’re taking every opportunity to enjoy the remainder of the snow season. On that note, we had our first company-wide mountain day in February, and it was great to enjoy each other’s company outside of work while taking in the breathtakingly scenic views that Sun Peaks has to offer.
Beyond being immensely fun, this last month saw lots of progress on many fronts at Vivacity, so without further ado, herewith is Viva Scoop February!
CDAP Advisor Approved
First off, we wanted to highlight that Vivacity is an approved advisor under the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP). In this initiative, the Canadian government provides up to $15,000 in funding to help businesses use technology to accelerate their strategy or improve operations. So, if you think your organization could benefit from this program, please get in touch with us here for a zero cost consultation.
As approved advisors, we’d be happy to help you understand if this is a good fit and what the process looks like!
Developing a Zero Trust Environment
Secondly, Vivacity has started to explore an exciting direction with our Public Key Infrastructure product, VivaPKI. In partnership with Adroit Technologies, we’re looking to help businesses accelerate their adoption of Zero Trust architecture and passwordless environments. Passwords are a big target of phishing and other types of cyberattacks, so we’re creating a solution where passwords are not needed to securely authenticate to Microsoft Active Directory, Wi-Fi networks, and Office 365 tools.
We’re looking for input on this front to inform our development, so if you think removing the password risk from your cybersecurity equation sounds like an interesting prospect we’d love to get in touch with you!
Hiring - Back End Software Developer
Another exciting bit of news is that we’re currently looking to expand the awesome Viva team! We’re hiring for a back end software developer to support our product development in the long term, while also supporting our vision of building a better future for our communities using technology.
If this sounds like an interesting opportunity to you, or someone you know, please take a look at our job listing here. We’d especially love to hear from you if you’re based in or around the Kamloops area and are excited about our beliefs and purpose here at Vivacity Technologies!
Supporting Kamloops Innovation Centre
Finally, our incredible community members at Kamloops Innovation Centre (KIC) have been hard at work spreading the good word about the many opportunities available to entrepreneurs in Kamloops.
Recently we got the chance to share more about our own experience being a part of the community and having an office within their space, so you can hear directly from our CEO George Emery (me 😀) on what it’s been like so far in this video.
If you’re an organization in Kamloops looking for a welcoming and supportive community who lives and breathes innovation, then look no further than our amazing friends at KIC!
Help!!
Please spread the word on what we do and who we are. It's simple, but massively beneficial for Vivacity.
Thank you so much for tuning in and don't hesitate to reach out to the Viva team with any questions.
