May 2nd, Kamloops, BC - Vivacity Technologies (Vivacity) announced today the successful completion of funding through the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to support the continued research and development of their intelligent city data management platform, VivaCitadel. The $200,000 of grant funding will be focused on developing a scalable intelligent city platform while looking to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate information requests for structured and unstructured data.
“VivaCitadel aims to break down data silos and offer effective streams of non-tax revenue for municipalities, while creating new efficiencies in municipality service delivery”, said George Emery, CEO at Vivacity Technologies. “Beyond a data platform, we’re pushing for process automation and service delivery enhancements for cities, which is massively important as citizens look for 24/7 services in secure and effective ways”.
Vivacity secured the NRC IRAP funding for the further development of their data management platform. The project will involve building out the current intelligent city platform with the integration of AI to automate the data retrieval process and extraction of relevant data, creating significant time savings for city staff while maintaining the accuracy of the information provided.
“Our primary focus is to provide next-level service delivery for municipalities. This NRC IRAP funding will accelerate the implementation of the platform by allowing us to onboard additional talent, and support our growing relationships with municipalities”, said Stefano Stamato, Head of Product at Vivacity Technologies.
VivaCitadel is in the final stages of deployment with the City of Kelowna and with this funding Vivacity can dedicate additional resources to scaling the platform and facilitating the use of AI. Overall, the goal is to enhance municipality service delivery, while allowing cities to turn a cost center into a net positive. The first use case for the VivaCitadel platform will be the Property Information Request process that many cities struggle with today.
