Meet Farzin Rahman

Meet our very own Farzin Rahman! Born and raised in the beautiful country of Bangladesh, Farzin is a man of various interests and skills. With a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MBA from United International University, and a Master in Environmental Economics and Management from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, he is no stranger to the academic world. In fact, he co-authored a book that was published in BC in 2022, where he researched numerous large and small City of Kamloops parks to evaluate their value and ecosystem services they provide in monetary terms. The book gained popularity among city officials and planners, making it an academic achievement to be very proud of.

As a Business Technology Analyst at Vivacity, Farzin loves analyzing data and information, and the sense of ownership he gets to have on his work. But what makes Vivacity truly special to him is the team, the company culture, and the hybrid and remote working environment that allows him to work with a lot of flexibility.

When Farzin is not at work, he can be found doing one of two things: at the gym deadlifting (like a boss), or watching cricket and being the very enthusiastic fan that he is. Cricket is a sport that feeds his soul and is something he takes very seriously. But when it comes to his favourite music genre, Farzin is a true metalhead! He loves rocking out to metal, especially thrash and heavy metal. His philosophy on music is very simple: if the song does not have enough distortion, he probably would not listen to it. Metallica has been the band that he looks up to the most, and James Hetfield has always been his role model. He tries to follow Hetfield's working style into his work and personal life, making him an exceptionally dedicated and hardworking individual.
